For workers' compensation insurance reimbursement, clients must obtain a physician referral, medical diagnosis code (ICD-10) and frequency treatment (e.g. 2 x week for 4 weeks). Myofascial Release Therapy is focused just on the areas of the body related to the medical diagnosis as doctor prescribed. The treatment is generally billed in 15 minutes segments using current step-by-step terminology and sticking to the typical and normal reimbursement charge timetable. Non-prescribed Myofascial Release Therapy is dealt with on a fee-for-service basis.
