MYOFASCIAL RELEASE THERAPHY

$140 per treatment (4 units)

Myofascial Release Theraphy is an advanced

soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on manual technique that involves applying sustained pressure into the connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

During Myofascial Release Therapy, the therapist locates myofascial areas that feel stiff and fixed instead of elastic and movable under sustained manual pressure. These areas, though not always near what feels like the source of pain, are thought to restrict muscle and joint movements, which contributes to widespread muscle pain.  The focused manual pressure and stretching used in Myofascial Release Therapy loosen up restricted movement, leading indirectly to reduced pain.

Each Myofascial Release Therapy treatment is performed directly on the skin without oils or creams. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascia restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate the release of the fascia.  The techniques of Myofascial Release Therapy help to re-organize and lengthen the tight tissue allowing for better movement and health to the tissue.

Clients with Myofascial Pain Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Whiplash and job injury frequently benefit from this type of therapy. People who experience chronic headaches, migraines may also find relief from myofascial release. Medical/Workers' Compensation Insurance may cover Myofascial Release Theraphy. Highly recommended consult your professional healthcare provider and medical insurance company before starting the treatment.

Clinical Soft Tissue Therapy - $140 per treatment

Clinical Soft Tissue Therapy is the application of hands-on techniques to body soft tissues with intent to therapeutically asses and treat. TRIGGER POINT THERAPY $140 per treatment

A trigger point is a hyperirritable spot that is painful.  A trigger point caused by poor blood circulation which is difficult to transport nutrients and remove of waste such as lactic acid.  It is called a trigger point because it "triggers" an unpleasant response. But a trigger point is greater than a tender blemish. It impacts not only the muscle where the trigger point is situated, but also triggers "referred pain" in tissues supplied by nerves.

Trigger points are found in a taut band of muscles fibers. The trigger point is the most delicate point in the band. The therapist will find and also deactivate them utilizing firm finger pressure and machine to release the knots which can reduce muscle tension.  One procedure is to get the muscle fibers in a pincer clasp.
